Like most kids I would assume, my kids love to go splash parks and water parks. And if you've never gone to the Rosemeade Rainforest Aquatic Complex in Carrollton with your kids, you definitely need to go! We have a 4 year old, Cade, and a 7 month old, Finn. Cade is fearful of the water but at the water park in Carrollton, there is a toddler area that is just a few feet of water deep where he feels comfortable. He's even finally braved going down the slide by himself.
There are spouts of water that come out of the ground in the shallow area where even my 7 month old can comfortably sit and splash. We run into all kinds of people from around the city we know as well as mom friends & their kids from adjacent cities like Frisco or The Colony. We love spending a free weekday there when we can or a weekend especially since we don't have our own pool. It's only $5 or $6 depending on the day of the week for Carrollton residents and $9 or $10 for non-residents. And it's easy to spend the whole day there. It gets packed so get there early for a good spot! Many week nights or weekends you'll see lots of birthday parties being had and for a reasonable price too! So if you're looking for a fun, summer activity for some fun in the sun for all ages; the Rainforest Aquatic Complex is sure to be a hit.
